Watermelon Child Kid

Small things

Creating a new device is difficult and it involves many steps. It is easy for any company to get overwhelmed into what is required. There is hardware and there is software. There is also so many things to procure, invent and put together. Then there is functionality and operations and logistics. Not easy.

One way we have found is to use an analogy of a large watermelon. This is not new and this analogy has been used before. You start with a large watermelon. You need to eat the watermelon. So you can stare at it or you can start taking steps to eat the juicy sweet watermelon. You might first need a knife. Then you need to slowly cut a slice and then you can peel the skin off. Only then can you start eating the watermelon. Small steps along the way to the bigger steps.

Isn’t this the analogy in American football too? First base you move so many steps, then you move some more. If you can keep the first base steps going then you move the ball to touch-down. It does not come easy and there are defenders all along the way. But small steps make it happen.

It is curiously applicable in all things in life.
