There are many fitness monitors out there from Nike’s fuel band to Fit Bit. They all promise monitoring of activity in some form or another but none are very comprehensive.One company, promises better watches and sensors – Basis.
Their sensors are equipped with not just accelerometer sensors but they also capture skin sweat secretion, heart rate and skin temperature.
What is interesting is the software that puts it all together. The real value of such devices may not be individual measurement but also integration of data from various people into a comprehensive look that combines fitness, sleep, activity and probably weight.
Surprisingly, to other typical business companies like Basis promise the product much later and ask you to pre-order the devices before-hand that goes in the face of typical company production and selling.
