Brain Immunohistochemistry (IHC) quantitation

Brain sections created with Immunohistochemistry (IHC) or fluroscent labelling can be photographed, saved and quantitated for defined features -  automatically and consistently.

In the video shown below, ultramicrotome brain sections were stained using traditional immunohistochemical methods. These were then photographed, and the pictures analyzed with a specific program written by our scientists to enable estimation of nuclear number, size, intensity and other quantifiable parameters. Each of these images was normalized with control images to account for change in conditions such as microscope light intensity, section staining variability and many other controls. Once setup, these and hundreds of such images were analyzed by the computer in a few seconds.
